Abigail Jarvis, M.S. LADC
Abigail is our Lead Clinician at Brookhaven and has been working with residents, students, and families in our program since 2014. Her background is in rehabilitation and addictions counseling, mental health, and child development. Abigail has worked with a variety of systems within the organization to promote trauma informed care with crisis and clinical interventions.
Abigail has utilized her passion for the arts and has brought in mindfulness, expressive arts, drumming, yoga/movement, and other sensory activities to benefit the children and families of Brookhaven through the years. Abigail works with all systems from a strengths based perspective and utilizes a variety of interventions and supports to engage individuals and families, to build confidence in their skills and ultimate successes.
Abigail enjoys spending time with family and outdoor activities such as kayaking, hiking, snowshoeing and skiing, and visiting the ocean. Abigail loves board games, reading, and movies in her spare time.
Kent Kilpatrick, Case Manager
Kent is our Case Manager at Brookhaven. He graduated from Liberty University in Virginia in 2017. He started working with youth in 2013 at a variety of summer camps. In 2015, he worked for a camp in Pennsylvania for twice exceptional children and was drawn towards the specific challenges that are involved in working with children. Before joining us, Kent was working direct care at a wilderness therapeutic camp in North Carolina. Here he lived out in the woods with his group, year round in structures they designed and built themselves. He also helped plan and eventually lead month-long canoe trips, such as his 230 miles down the Swanee River in Florida. Kent has a passion for the outdoors, especially the wildlife that live in it, and is learning how to photograph them in their natural habitat. When he is home, he enjoys movies and editing his photography.
Jeff came to Brookhaven as a child clinician in July of 2020. Achieving his graduate degree in social work in May of 2020, with clinical, case management, and residential experience working with individuals with sever mental illness. Jeff can be found on the Brookhaven campus providing individual therapeutic sessions, family sessions, groups sessions with the boys in residence, as well as individual therapeutic session with the boys from the day school program. When Jeff is not on campus, he enjoys being active in all of the outdoor activities the Green Mountains have to offer.
